My main interest is sailing. However I also like F1, motorbikes and all forms of racing.

None, I have read all of the decent authors in this list - now there is a topic. There's very few Classics in this list. I am more likely to take a text book, biography or a factual account of an event. I have just finished reading about Zola Bud, Dee Caffery and about a storm in the Pacific in 1994. I can't even really name a favourite author. A dissertation for my first degree was on Kerouac.

Favourite Films:

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Jean de Florette, Les Enfants du Paradis, Reservoir Dogs, Star Wars, Taxi Driver, Again, not a wide selection: my two favourite flims are 'Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe' and 'Betty Blue' (no it isn't!). Betty Blue is a french romance, the french title is '37°2 le matin'. There are lots of great films around.

Enjoyable evening out:

Cinema, Meal, Theatre

Favourite Dishes:

Fish and Chips, Lasagne, Lemongrass and ginger marinated chicken, Lobster Thermidor, Spaghetti alle Vongole, Tomato + Mozarella salad, there's not much of a choice there! I am particularly fond of fish but I have wide gastronomic tastes! Fresh caught sea bass cooked off the back of a boat.

Ideal Holiday:

Driving across the US, Driving slowly around Ireland, Lying on a beach in the Caribbean, Safari in Africa

In another life:

Napoleon and an explorer, I have said Explorer but being a military leader might be cool - though Napoleon lost! I couldn't name anyone - me with the opportunity to not make my mistakes (if only...). Or a Nobel Prize winner for Literature, Olympic Gold medallist and World Leader, but then perhaps a comedian.

Personality:

All of them and their opposites at one time or another, except stylish, mmm, reserved judgement on that.
