A "Network" of High Quality Dating Sites run off a single database

Loveandfriends operates a number of separate websites running off a shared database. This is explained in detail to members on our Help page - Databases and Sites

Our Terms and Conditions specifically describe this arrangement and the use of our service generally requires members to appear on all sites of our "Dating network". However, members may choose to restrict themselves to the single site they joined by pressing a button on our "Settings" page.

This Privacy Policy applies to all sites on the "Loveandfriends Network" - not just the original Loveandfriends.com website itself. Where you see "Loveandfriends" mentioned in this Privacy Policy this requirement applies in the exact same way to whichever of our Partner Sites you use.

Loveandfriends is a member of the ABIA and complies with the ABIA Code of Conduct for Online Dating Agencies. In addition we comply with the ABIA Standard for Shared and Linked Databases. This means specifically that all our Partner sites on our network must comply with these requirements as well.

Members can see which site a fellow member originates from on the "Provenance" field of the profile and in accordance with ABIA Guidelines we publish our entire list of Linked Sites on the Help page - Databases and Sites so that members can be assured of the nature and quality of all website locations where their profile may appear.

What information does Loveandfriends collect?

In order to provide the Service to you, Loveandfriends needs to collect certain personal information about you (e.g. your e-mail address, name, etc,). When you register with Loveandfriends, you will be required to submit information about yourself as prompted by the Service’s registration form (such information being the “Registration Data”). Loveandfriends will store this information on its UK based computers together with any information you may provide to Loveandfriends from time to time.

It is necessary for us to use this personal information to provide our service.

When you use the Site or Service, Loveandfriends will automatically track certain information about you for purpose of internal administration and research. Loveandfriends is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such linked sites and hereby expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability which may arise therefrom.

Loveandfriends is anti-spam

Loveandfriends discloses your personal information to third parties for the purposes of associated administration and obtaining professional advise (e.g. on the basis of research) only. Loveandfriends does not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without your express consent.

We may send your information internationally (which may include countries outside the European Economic Area). Such other countries offer differing levels of protection of personal information, not all of which may be as high as in the UK.

Marketing and promotional activities are important.
