Affairs 'could cause fatal migraines'
3 October 2008
Cheating lovers could be putting their lives as well as their relationships at risk, according to new research.
|
A scientific study found that having an affair can be fatal as deceitful cheaters have to tackle with the pressure and strain of leading secret lives and watching their backs.
The stress and tension caused could increase the chances of suffering from migraines and could cause a fatal aneurysm, according to researchers at the Italian Migraine Society.
Speaking at an international conference in Turin, neurologist Lorenzo Pinessi said a study of migraine sufferers found that most of those with the most sever cases were also having affairs.
He said: "What we found is that it was mostly men who suffered worst from this phenomenon, which is all to do with stress and hypertension (high blood pressure).
"It would appear that men have a more severe feeling of guilt when cheating which leads to increased stress and tension."
