Amorous Brits head to Mexico
8 August 2008
If you're still thinking of where to spend a romantic summer break, then look no further than Mexico, according to a travel expert.
|
Alyson Cook, editor of magazine Luxury Travel, said the South American destination is becoming more and more popular with loved-up Brits.
With the country currently working on improving its tourist base, more couples are heading there for honeymoons or simply to have some fun in the sun with their loved one.
Miss Cook said: "Mexico City has some hip hotels - Los Cabos and Baja California and on the central Pacific coast there's a property called Las Alamandas which the A-listers like."
Some couples may love to wile away the days in each others' arms, but some more adventurous folk can take part in the many activities on offer, including trips, animal experiences and jungle walks.
She said destinations such as Queretaro, Chiapas and Oaxaca are newer ones which can offer something different.
