'Beautiful people' in dumpsville
23 November 2008
There are a number of dating lessons we can learn from Hollywood's great and good, according to a women's magazine.
|
While they may seem like unattainable icons, the dating rules of the Beautiful People are often pretty similar to those of the rest of us.
Glamour magazine has revealed a host of different dating mantras taken from real-life Hollywood scenarios which can teach us a thing or two about love.
Lesson one is that no matter how beautiful you are, you still run the risk of being dumped.
Some of the world's most beautiful women have been jilted, cheated on and just plain abandoned.
Stars including Friends actress Jennifer Aniston – who is still waiting for The One – Elizabeth Hurley, and supermodel Christie Brinkley – have all been on the wrong end of a man's betrayal.
Glamour writes: "It happens all the time to Hollywood's most gorgeous, seemingly perfect women: their equally gorgeous and seemingly perfect guys humiliate them by fooling around with someone else."
Closer to home, even Cheryl Cole - believed to be one of the country's most beautiful women - has been cheated on by her husband Ashley.
It is proof to us that in the dating game, finding The One is far more than just about good looks.
