... Breakfast dates 'increasing in popularity' Breakfast dates 'increasing in popularity'

24 November 2008

British singletons are looking for more innovative dates in an effort to find love, according to new research.

Gone are the days when a date simply meant going to dinner as modern-day singletons are looking for something different.

Pre-work breakfast dates are proving increasingly popular as the cold light of day makes judgement better and less at risk of alcohol clouding your vision.

A poll of more than 1,000 people revealed that Britons want unique dating opportunities rather than the bog standard run-of-the-mill outings.

Half of people feel they are more awake in the mornings and are better able to judge character during daylight.

Around 77 per cent of people also feel they look their best in the morning so it is a better time to go on a date, the survey by datingdirect.com.

Women said they looked better because they have just applied their pristine make-up, while 82 per cent of men agreed with them and think girls look their best at the start of the day.
