Brits 'would think twice' about getting amorous on
15 September 2008
As two Britons face trial in Dubai for getting amorous on a beach, new research reveals that many couples are guilty of the same practice.

Michelle Palmer and Vince Acors are facing imprisonment in the Middle Eastern country because of their public display, but a new study by directholidaybookings.co.uk shows that one in four Britons has done the same thing.
According to the holiday homes booking site's survey of a thousand people, 26 per cent said they had got amorous on the beach.
Among the under-30s, the figure rose to more than a third, while just five per cent of respondents said they had been caught in the act.
However, 90 per cent of respondents said the recent Dubai case would make them reconsider, for fear of going to prison.
Andrew Gibson, director of DirectHolidayBookings.co.uk, said: "The Dubai case has attracted worldwide media attention and the incident has been widely condemned, but this survey goes to show that the practice is far from unusual.
"People tend to be far more relaxed whilst on holiday and perhaps do things that they would never consider at home."
