Couple wed atop Sydney Harbour Bridge
5 June 2008
A daring couple have become the first to tie the knot at the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
|
Stephen Tierney, 27, and Claire Tullan, 28, from the UK conducted their nuptials at the top of the famous landmark on Tuesday.
The loved-up couple were able to exchange rings safely thanks to BridgeClimb's secure ring device.
Joined by a small group of their friends and family, the couple from Glasgow, took the plunge by getting married some 134 metres above Sydney harbour.
Claire said: "I have always dreamt of having my wedding on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The views from the summit of the bridge were unforgettable."
Stephen added: "The Sydney Harbour Bridge is the perfect location for a wedding. It is a day I will never forget."
Their dream day didn't stop there, with the couple also spending their wedding night at the deluxe five-star hotel Shangri-La in Sydney.
They will then return to Glasgow where they will have a more down-to-earth celebration with friends and family.
