Couples finding it easier to save money

Loved-up couples find it easier to save money than their singleton counterparts, according to new research.

A study by personal finance website Fool.co.uk revealed that it is "much easier" for those who have a partner to save money effectively.
As the credit crunch takes its toll, singletons are among the worst hit and are finding it hard to put away money for a rainy day.
David Kuo, head of personal finance at the website, said all people – whether coupled up or not – need to ensure they are saving their money just in case times get even harder in the near future.
He said: "If you prepare yourself a household budget, you will find that many of the things out there are unrelated to how many people actually use those services."
Research out last week from Skipton Building Society and YouGov showed that the vast majority of single men are staying that way because they want to save money.
