Couples' road rage revealed
19 September 2008
Loved-up couples are often not so loved-up after they have finished a long distance car journey, according to a new report.
|
Research by Vodafone revealed that more than three quarters of couples have had to stop talking to each other in the car following an argument while travelling.
These rows are more often than not about directions, getting lost and who is right or wrong.
Car journeys with loved-ones quite literally drive Britons round the bend and can ruin a holiday before it has even begun.
One in three people get lost on the roads at one time or another, while 61 per cent confessed to having an argument after ending up at the wrong destination.
With 59 per cent of couples not owning sat-navs, the arguments still persist as they row over which is the best route to take.
The survey also dispelled the myth that men are more reluctant to ask for help when they are lost, waiting ten minutes and 43 seconds compared to 12 minutes and 36 seconds for women.
