Divorcees 'should find love again'
18 June 2008
People who have got divorced should take the plunge and get married again to someone who is a better fit, according to one author.
|
According to writer James Walsh, people who are married are happier than those who are not.
He points to research which seems to suggest that married people live longer and suffer from few health problems than singletons.
But he realises that not all marriages are blissful and that some end in divorce.
However, he suggests that people who get divorced should not shun marriage for ever but think of finding their real soul mate.
Where children are involved, he said the best thing parents can do is to get into a new stable relationship.
Mr Walsh writes: "It is essential for you to find the right person for a long-term relationship. There are many ways to go about it, such as online dating sites. You can also join divorce support groups where recently separated men and women meet and share their experiences.
"These groups are a great venue for you to find interesting people who are in the same situation as you and coping with the same challenges. Romances can also blossom in office situations where the colleagues closely interact with each other daily."
