Female drivers flirt to avoid tickets
13 August 2008
Women drivers have admitted using their feminine wiles to flirt their way out of getting a parking ticket, according to a recent survey.
|
A study conducted by YouGov found that a quarter of women say that they use their cleavage and their femininity to keep a clean slate on their licence.
Diva, a new car insurance provider which commissioned the research, found 34 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds said they would flirt outrageously with a traffic warden.
But older women were more reserved, with 61 per cent of over 45-year-olds saying they would not flirt their way out of a ticket.
The study also revealed regional differences in how far women drivers were willing to go to keep a clean sheet.
Kaye Sutcliffe, head of Diva, said: "I'm not sure guys realise just how shrewd women are when it comes to getting themselves out of trouble. Flirting is just one more device divas deploy to get what they want behind the wheel."
