Gentlemen prefer to date blondes, but marry brunet

Men love dating blondes, but would rather marry a brunette, new research reveals.

According to a survey, more than half of men have gone on more dates with a blonde woman than one with darker hair.
Around 19 per cent of the respondents said this was because they found blonde women sexier and so went out with them more.
But research shows that while men might find blondes more fun, brunettes have the last laugh as they are the ones most likely to get a ring on their finger.
The survey revealed that just under half of the men surveyed said blondes are better girlfriends because they tend to have more outgoing personalities, the Daily Mail reports.
Yet around 52 per cent of respondents said they would rather tie the knot with a brunette because they are more sensible and reliable and would therefore make better wives.
Haidresser Andrew Collinge, whose brand conducted the poll, said: "Our research shows just how much men judge a woman by their hair colour.
"It's always been said that blondes have more fun and men obviously enjoy going out for dates with blondes as well as upgrading them to girlfriend status."
