... Internet taking up couples' together time Internet taking up couples' together time

23 September 2007

Is your love life lacking? If so then there is a chance all your problems could be solved simply by switching off the computer.

Americans are neglecting on love, romance and sex in favour of spending more time on the internet, reports VNUnet.com.

The survey, conducted by ad agency JWT, found that one in five people were having less sex as a result of the time they spent online.

And over a quarter were meeting up with friends less frequently.

But net users are building an emotional attachment to their computer, with half of the respondents claiming they feel there is something missing in their lives if they do not surf the net regularly.

Ann Mack, director of trend spotting at JWT, told Reuters: "The internet is taking away from offline activities such as sex, socialising face-to-face, watching TV and reading newspapers and magazines.

"I don't suppose their partners are too pleased about it."ADNFCR-1043-ID-18288301-ADNFCR
