... Keeping it platonic Keeping it platonic

When men and women enter into friendships with people of the opposite sex, they are often looking for different things.

While women treat their male friends much as they do their female friends, men are more likely to be intimate with female friends than they are with male pals, according to Rosemarie Lynass of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy
.

Men are also more likely to form friendships with women they find attractive in the hope that it will develop into something more.

Men may even call off the friendship if things do not progress romantically.

If your want to keep a relationship to friends only status, then make sure you do not flirt unintentionally. This can be easy to do in opposite sex friendships, but could really give the other person the wrong idea, reports the Daily Record.

And make sure you ask yourself whether you are interested in them as more than a friend. If your feelings change it may also be worth discussing it with your friend to see if the feelings are reciprocated.ADNFCR-1043-ID-18348294-ADNFCR
