Lucky dates prove popular for weddings

So you have finally found your Mr or Miss Right and you've decided you're going to spend the rest of your lives with each other – now it's time to find that perfect date to tie the knot.

Researchers in Germany said that many couples choose what they perceive to be their 'lucky days' to tie the knot.
This year, that date falls on August 8th – 8.8.08 – and many couples will be hoping for their nuptials to take place that day.
But the researchers also found that many couples have the same idea, making days such as this extremely popular for weddings.
Wedding planner Mandy Pomplun said: "Once again, this year lots of people want to get married on a day with a lucky date."
The popularity of such dates is hard for couples as it means they are less likely to get married in the place they have dreamed of.
Ms Pomplun said: "It's far more difficult for couples to get their dream venue for the wedding.
"Everyone providing a service for a wedding held on a lucky date has probably hiked their prices."
