Men remember first car, not first kiss
7 October 2008
Men are more likely to remember the registration number of their beloved first car than their first moment of passion, according to new research.
|
A study cited in the Independent revealed that 40 per cent of men remembered their first number plate and a quarter had even given the car a name.
This was more than the number that could remember their first kiss, according to the survey.
But for men, car is not a totally unromantic object with one in three having made love in the car and 12 per cent of respondents saying they felt more attractive to the opposite sex after they had passed their driving test.
The Independent also revealed some other differences between men and women, reporting research which has found that women talk an average of 20,000 words a day while men utter just 7,000.
Luan Brizending, who authored the study, said: "Women have an eight-lane super-highway for processing emotion while men have a small country road."
