Men think wives should have cosmetic surgery
24 November 2008
A significant number of UK husbands would like their wives to go under the knife, according to new research.

So much for loving you just the way you are, one in five men said they would like their significant other to change a part of her body.
The survey was commissioned ahead of next year's opening of operetta Skin Deep, which is based on society's obsession with beauty.
It revealed that husbands said their wife could do with a breast enlargement, a tummy tuck, liposuction or other form of cosmetic surgery.
Around six per cent of loving hubbies thought their wives needed a "complete overhaul", with some saying that having some work done could save their marriage or spice up life in the bedroom.
One in five men said they wanted their wife to get back to the body she had when they first met.
Commenting on the study, a spokesman for Opera North, said: "Plastic surgery is so much more on people's radars and the survey shows a lot of men do actually see it as a viable option to spruce up their wives.
"These findings are very amusing and tie in well with the story in our comedy operetta."
