... Mobile users urged to back up precious moments Mobile users urged to back up precious moments

20 December 2008

Londoners, Mancunians, Liverpudlians and Geordies have all expressed concern about losing compromising photos taken on their mobiles.

That is according to mobile phone upload service ShoZu, whose research has revealed that over 60 per cent of people are using their mobiles to take photos.

The concern among amorous adults about losing compromising photos seems not to be unfounded as ShoZu's research shows that a third of those questioned had lost data from their mobile phones.

According to the company. However, Friday (December 19th) is the busiest day of the year for Christmas parties so they have warned dating couples to back up their mobiles.

Mark Bole from ShoZu explained: "December is the month for getting snap happy with your phone but also the month in which we are likely to be more rushed. That means it's important to keep pictures safe."

The company also cited Alfie Dennen, technologist from Moblog who said: "On average 10,000 mobile phones are being left in the back of black cabs every month - can you imagine how many private and personal pictures that equates to!"ADNFCR-1043-ID-18940157-ADNFCR
