... Most head to bed on fifth date Most head to bed on fifth date

4 December 2007

Most women think it is the right time to end up in bed with a new partner on the fifth date, a new survey has revealed.

This averages out to around 22 hours spent in each other's company, but not all wait this long.

A third takes the relationship to the next level on the first date. And one in ten has jumped into bed after only minutes of meeting someone. Nine out of ten girls know someone who has slept with a man only hours after meeting him.

But some have much more willpower, as five per cent hold off for more than a year
.

The average time between meeting and heading to bed is 32 days, the survey found.

Jacqueline Gold, CEO of Ann Summers who commissioned the study, said: "this shows modern women know what they want and when they want it. And it is truly an individual's decision.

"Girls feel far more free these days to go with what they feel is right for them and are confident enough to set the pace."ADNFCR-1016-ID-18381170-ADNFCR
