Most unromantic day of the year revealed

If you tried your luck in the dating game last Wednesday but failed miserably then never fear as new research reveals that August 27th is the least romantic day of the year.
It seems that Cupid and his arrow both took a break on August 27th, as researchers at the University of Sydney have cited the day as the most unromantic date in the calendar

While six months prior to the date was Valentine's Day where loved ones display their affection for one another in a variety of different ways, it seems the romance has fizzled out by the time we hit the middle of the year.
According to the study, August 27th has the fewest expressions of love, the most arguments and high divorce rates.
The study commissioned by cooking appliance brand Accolade also found that the date marked poor champagne sales, as well as a fall in the number of romantic dinners for two at restaurants.
Accolade launched the research to start off its search for the country's most romantic recipe.
By analysing internet chatter, the researchers found that the last week in August had the least number of "I love yous" expressed via the web.
This lack of affection could cause problems in September, which is believed to have the second highest divorce rate following January.
August 27th is bad timing all around, it seems as workers suffer from the blues following their return to work after the Bank Holiday.
Meanwhile, the researchers also found that Wednesdays are the day of the week when people's moods hit rock bottom.
Jane Rylands, marketing services manager at Accolade, said: "Cupid should probably take a break on August 27th - it's set to be a particularly unromantic day in the UK.
"To that end, we're trying to inject a bit of romance by searching for sexy food and looking to give one recipe the accolade of the UK's most romantic. It's the perfect excuse to combine love and food, so there
