Newspaper heralds arrival of new breed of daters

A new group of dating individuals is playing the field, it has been revealed.

According to the Calgary Herald, the rise if the ecosexual is a recognition of the fact that "green is the new colour of love".
The term ecosexual was actually devised by a San Francisco magazine, and describes "an evolving breed of city dweller for whom keeping green is every bit as important in their romantic life as in their choice of household cleanser, dinner food or wall paint".
As such, ecosexuals tend to eschew traditional dating venues - particularly restaurants and cinemas - as they are activities which leave a large carbon footprint.
Rather, ecosexuals are more likely to meet outdoors - with online ecosexual dater Claudi Li detailing her ideal green date as being a bike ride and eating a meal out of Tupperware containers.
The Calgary Herald also reports that a significant number of ecosexuals are naturists, like doing eco-friendly things and refrain from driving cars.
