Singletons embarrassed to go on holiday
26 November 2008
One in ten singles do not go on holiday because they are embarrassed about not having an other half.

Figures from digital customer experience company Foviance show that singletons often feel left out when they go on holiday because they feel like they are on their own and that everyone will be staring at them.
The study showed single people are not happy with what the travel industry currently has to offer them, with 68 per cent frustrated by their options and unable to find a holiday that suits their needs.
Singletons aged between 31 and 45 said they were unable to find a suitable holiday, with many revealing they would rather stay at home than go on holiday because of the presumption that they were going abroad to find love.
But these Generation X travellers clearly love travelling, with 31 per cent saying the only thing stopping them is having no-one to go with.
The most important factors of a holiday for these singletons is location, like-minded people of a similar age group, specific activities, no romantic pressure and vetting of their fellow travellers.
