Women 'getting into' online dating more

Looking for a mate through an online dating agency is now more common than ever, with the balance of men and women coming to a balance.

Worldwide, 97 million people visited matchmaking sites in December according to comScore data cited in the Herald Tribune,
According to Thomas Enraght Moony, chief executive of Match.com, men typically to dominate the sites at first and so the need to attract women is paramount.
In France, 55 per cent of Match.com's users were women however, compared to 40 per cent in most other markets.
Parship's Singles Survey 2008: Media Summary UK report, conducted by Innofact, about half of single UK men and women said they had used an online dating site in the past year in 2007.
This was up from the roughly one-half of men and one-third of women who said this in 2005.
