A work in progress - & living to the full
Youthful, & ideally still looking for that elusive heart partner, with whom to share & create a future together. This life is so precious that I want to make the most of it - a more "green" life with less energy consumption, less materialistic consumption, valuing the skills of growing food, etc.
I would love to buy a plot of land & have an eco house (probably to passivhaus standard). I am a spiritual seeker & Buddhist practitioner, & this is a key driver in my life - learning what is truly real, basing life on compassion for all beings.
I enjoy the company of others, & my own company too - times of stillness & activity I enjoy yoga & am learning Tai Chi.
I love walking & being in mountains, by rivers, streams & the sea, as well as appreciating gentler countryside. I'm quite an outdoors person, but less so in the cold & rain!
I'd like to get on my bike again (but it's a bit hilly though round by me). Singing acapella, and a whole range of music - classsical to pop, give me lots of pleasure. I'm happy doing the round of museums & galleries, though this is probably my second choice of interests.
I've travelled in Europe & Nepal/India & also spent 2 years as a volunteer in Nepal during the civil war & uprising that toppled the King - that was a bit scary at times! And I've trekked in Nepal & Tibet too.
I hope I've been able to learn from the ups & downs of life; my divorce, bereavements, & the tough times. Not having children has been both an opportunity & a missed slice of life.
I want to age gracefully - accepting that this is a time of wisdom & maturity & still things to be explored & achieved, alongside a gradual letting go & loss. All part of life's richness!
