Own hair, own teeth, own old age pension.
OK. I'm a 65 year old retired teacher. After serving 40 years at the chalk face I am finally free. I've been a widow for 14 years. There have been a couple of (failed) relationships since then. However, I do miss having a man in my life for lots of reasons. I am fortunate in that I have many good friends, so am never short of people to do things with. The trouble is that I have no-one to do NOTHING with. Someone to just be there, a shoulder to cry on or to cuddle. Someone to just be there when I'm watching TV or reading. It would be great to have a like-minded person to go for a walk with, to have a coffee and a blether, to go out for a meal with, to dance with or even go on holiday with. It would be lovely to be needed again.

Retired primary teacher
Highers, Teacher training college.
Episcopalian. However have doubts about the exclusivity of Christianity. The bit in the Bible about "my father's house has many mansions," resonates with me. I hope there is a God.
Started off as a Socialist. However, was it Churchill who said, "He who is not a socialist before the age of 30 has no heart. He who is a socialist after 30 has no brain."? Sort of middle of the road. Definitely not S.N.P.

Pleasures

Used to have a black Labrador. Wouldn't be fair having a dog now as I'm often away.
A Chinese banquet, Lemongrass and ginger marinated chicken, Lobster Thermidor, Veal Escalope, I'm quite an adventurous eater and would probably try something I've never had before. I love seafood. However, there's nothing wrong with a decent fish supper occasionally. Again, it depends on the mood I'm in. I love cooking, but really miss cooking for someone else.
Learning to paint in Provence, Lying on a beach in the Caribbean, I love holidays. Scotland can be beautiful (I've just come back from Orkney). However I do love sunshine. France is definitely my favourite country. Saying that, there are many places in the world I've yet to visit.
