Mobiles killing the romance

Our obsession with technology is compromising our relationships, a new survey has revealed.
Research by Stuff magazine found that a staggering 26 per cent of men had answered a call or a read a text message during an intimate moment and some confessed to not having their mind on the job in hand because they were thinking about a text or call they needed to make

Londoners were the most addicted to using their phones, as were young people, although 12 per cent of over-50s have got on the wrong side of their partner by using their phone at an inopportune time.
Rob Nathan of Stuff magazine, said: "We know that gadgets and phones have a huge influence on our lives but we were surprised by the number of people who put their love life in jeopardy simply to keep in touch.
"Technology makes life easier but it is a brave or foolish person who risks a relationship by paying attention to a mobile phone rather than their loved one."
